Ms. Sonoda, NTN Track & Field Club, Participates in the 19th World Athletics Championships

Ms. Serena Sonoda, who belongs to the NTN Track & Field Club will participate in the 19th World Athletics Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, from August 19 as the athlete representing Japan* for the women's 35km race walk.

Following last year's event, she will participate in the event for the second consecutive year. We would like to ask for your continued support.

Comment from Ms. Sonoda

For this event, I have been preparing through highland training in Corolado, U.S. in order to strengthen the muscular strength for walking improvement and increase endurance in order to overcome the challenges I felt at the JAAF Athletics Championships in April of this year.

I never forget the regret that I placed 9th at the last event in Oregon. I am aiming to win 8th place in this time and would like to return the favor to those who have supported me with the result.
